frequently asked questions

  • Usually we will speak about what brings you to therapy. This allows me to get to know your history in more detail, consider the nature of the current problems and start to develop a plan for treatment.

  • The duration of our work together will largely depend on the reason you are seeking therapy. Addressing a well-defined, specific issue may take as few as 6 to 10 sessions, while more complex concerns like historical trauma might necessitate a slower, more extended approach. During our first session, we will establish a timeline for reviewing our progress to ensure that our work is beneficial and headed in the right direction.

  • Finding an approach that best suits your unique needs and goals is essential in therapy. I have extensive training in CBT, EMDR, and IFS. Each modality offers distinct benefits and can be tailored to address different challenges.

During our initial sessions, we will collaboratively decide on the approach that best aligns with what you bring to treatment and your desired outcomes.

Our collaborative approach ensures that you are actively involved in your therapeutic journey, making informed choices about the methods we use. This partnership empowers you to fully engage with the therapy process and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Getting Started

  • Please give as much notice as possible in case of cancellation, at least 48 hours. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice and non-attended appointments without notice incur a €85 fee.

  • Confidentiality is an important aspect of psychotherapy. This means that under normal circumstances no one outside of a therapy session is given any information — even the fact that you have been here — without your expressed written consent.

However, psychotherapists are ethically and legally bound to report certain information in which there is the possibility of harm to a client or to another person, in cases of child or elder abuse, or under court order.

Policies

  • €85 for a 55-minute session.

  • Payments can be paid in person or online. I request that clients paying by bank transfer do so 24 hours before their appointment.

  • I recommend reaching out to your insurance provider to confirm whether your plan includes coverage for our therapy sessions.

I am an approved LAYA healthcare psychotherapist under therapist ID: 11991.
